I differ in animation tastes to you so I find something strange about the CG effect particularly as there seems to be an attempt to capture the hand drawn style that doesn't always quite work. It will be interesting to see what the film is like though, given Masamune Shirow's reputation I wouldn't expect it to be completely mindless however nothing deeper or more confusing than Ghost in The Shell of The Matrix.
