Hi Ben, running unknown software on your system which is communicating with unknown servers is a sure way to get your system hacked or worse. The person(s) running this service could be monitoring everything you do – stealing your passwords, credit card details, personal information etc… bad idea.

Forget this paid, it’s wasting of money. There is lots of free VPNs you can use. One of the easiest to use and fastest free VPN I came across while I was in China – (url removed) No installation is needed ! It’s Chinese, the first button means ON, the bottom button is OFF. It works in IE and in Firefox (you need to set HTTP/HTTPS proxy in Firefox to 127.0.0.1 port 1234 or alternatively you can tell Firefox to use system proxy).

I think Google translation is not good enough for Chinese yet. But I believe most Chinese readers can understand your posts. They just need your posts can be found in search engines for Chinese.

Hi Gomobi – I’d love for RandomWire to be in Chinese but unfortunately my Chinese language skills are not up to it I was thinking about an option to auto-translate using Google Translate but I’m not sure if it’s accurate enough to be readable.

The support for S60 platform from 12vpn seems to be really usable and stable now…
BTW, I am wondering whether RandomWire could have a Chinese version since I think many information on your blog are more interesting to Chinese readers than to English readers.
